Managers Speak...
We have been in this location for over nine years. Our Family consists of over 80 volunteers that include my Asst Mgr and Team Leaders. All of us are very proud to be associated with such a worthwhile Charity.
We pride ourselves in offering clean and well-presented goods at smart prices. Our comprehensive range that is ever changing is guaranteed to hold your interest for hours.

I first started volunteering for hospice after I lost my husband who died in 1996. I went to the bereavement classes held at Shea Tce a few weeks later and although these were terribly sad I am sure they helped me through this difficult time in my life.
I thought I would like to “give something back” to the Hospice and volunteered at the reception desk in Shea Terrace and did this for about 6 months…but I felt sad going into Hospice each week and gave it up.
One day my daughter and I went into the Link Drive Hospice Shop (it had only been open for a few months) and I thought I would like to work there…. so I joined up!
The then Manager had left and one of the Volunteers became Manager for a short while who then also left…. again Link Drive was without a Manager so I, along with a couple of the other volunteers, became the interim Managers. We spent many hours working hard to increase sales and are pleased to say we continually bettered the prior month.
Then Hospice introduced “Paid Managers”, as none of us wanted to apply for the position, Paul was appointed our new Manager. I then applied for the Asst Manager’s role and Lo and Behold I got it!!
I have enjoyed working at Link Drive with Paul and all our lovely volunteers… in fact I will go as far as to say, “it has been a life saver” for me, it has given me such a wonderful interest, life is never dull and I look forward to the three days that I work each week meeting up with the many friends I have there. We are indeed a very Happy Family.
