This group, also known by the patients as “The Social Club” is run every Wednesday throughout the year except for the Christmas break. We try to make the activities suit the patients who are attending, so the programme can change during the year. However, we have podiatry, hairdressing, foot massage, manicure/pedicure and watercolour classes on a regular basis and also during these times other activites such as cards and Rummicub.
There are two energy healers, who attend every week, and can give you some treatment during the morning. Also on the first Wednesday of the month, we have Bob who plays the piano and is happy to play requests. Sometimes we have craft eg. paper making and sand pictures and at other times, speakers. We try to make the morning happy and restful so that everyone has a good time. There is a delicious morning tea and lunch and if anyone needs transport this can be arranged; there is no charge to attend the Day Group. |
