The 'Friends' programme is a very important one for Hospice. The pledged donations enable us to budget confidently for the year ahead knowing that a certain portion of our operating costs will be covered by the income generated from the Friends membership. In the current economic climate it is more important than ever to have supporters who make a commitment to donate to our work.
Fons Knipping is a Friend of Hospice and has been so for eight years. He joined the programme after seeing for himself the difference Hospice made when a very dear friend died.
"When my oldest friend was able to die at home I realized how marvellous the work of Hospice is and that I wanted to make a commitment to my local Hospice to ensure the service was available to my own community. That is why I joined the Friends of Hospice programme"
Fons is also a volunteer who works at our Link Drive Shop
