A favourite dish from the Mediterranean near Toulon, France. Octopus tentacles braised with onion, garlic, cognac, Babich Patriach Cabernet/Merlot/Malbec, tomato and orange zest. Accompanied with croutons and aioli.

Harbourside Seafood Bar & Grill is Auckland's premier destination providing seaside sophistication, succulent seafood and stunning views. For 19 years, growing its reputation as the city itself has grown; Harbourside has been the pinnacle of excellent seafood dining.

The décor, a classical contemporary theme, is elegant and clever; cool aqua greens and deep aubergine tones. The always-entrancing harbour front which Harbourside overlooks has been subtly reflected inside with the use of glass and other modern marine influences.

Walls have been painted the exact pearlised colour of oyster shell interiors, while the lounge recess has been featured with warm textured colours and fabrics to counteract the cool water outside. The overall feel is sophisticated and timeless.

Harbourside Seafood Bar & Grill's menu continues to feature New Zealand's finest seafood served on Auckland's biggest deck or in the expansive restaurant inside. “Our menu keeps evolving just like New Zealand cuisine,” says owner Jimmy Gerard.

“Our style is mainly Mediterranean, with an Asian influence as well. We are renowned for treating seafood well, using a simple cooking style with the tastes on, around or under the seafood to enhance it.”

Service is singularly excellent and efficient with Harbourside running its own in-house training system to ensure its high customer standards are met. For this and all the above reasons, Harbourside continues to be a popular destination for corporate groups, tourists and Aucklanders wanting to relax and unwind while eating the best possible food.

Situated in the historic Ferry Building built in 1907, Harbourside can cater for functions of up to 200 people inside and 140 on the deck outside.
